About The Position

Senior Accountant Miami, FL Boats Group is seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Accountant to join our US Accounting team. If you have a strong technical accounting background and are eager to take on a high-visibility, cross-functional role, we want to hear from you! In this role, you'll work closely with our Accounting Manager and contribute to the ongoing success of our growing accounting and finance team. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 3+ years of relevant financial experience
  • Experience within a public accounting firm, specifically the Big 6
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to solve complex problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Experience working directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • A solid business acumen, along with strategic thinking skills, allowing you to derive actionable insights from data.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close process, including preparing general ledger journal entries, financial statements, and analyses, ensuring GAAP compliance across all transactions.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial statements, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Address management inquiries and provide actionable solutions that support business goals.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly account reconciliations, ensuring supporting documentation is in place and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Assist with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functions, including monthly and annual financial forecasts, budgets, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the annual audit process and compliance reporting for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Drive process improvements by identifying and implementing procedural changes that enhance accuracy and efficiency within the accounting department.
