What We Do Maintains the integrity of accounting information and systems in accordance with US GAAP, other regulatory bodies, and company policy. Reconciles, analyzes, and synthesizes financial data from business operations and plays an active role in the preparation of public financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, SEC filings, DOI reports, and other regulatory reports. May evaluate or support the evaluation of company and regional profitability, efficiency, and product performance, and assess the effects of changes in accounting regulations on the Company’s financial statements and accounting controls. Executes accounting policies and procedures, participates in internal and external audits, and partners cross-functionally to research and resolve issues while strengthening processes and controls. Leads the design and continuous enhancement of reconciliation processes to ensure account integrity, timely issue resolution, and sustainable knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Prefer 2+ years of experience working with non-domestic based accounting teams.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work - Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in the interpretation and application of accounting principles and practices under US GAAP.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office.
  • Ability to query data using data extraction tools.
  • Large ERP Software experience, Oracle preferred.
  • Hyperion experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of IFRS a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes end-to-end ownership of assigned general ledger accounts to ensure timely identification, resolution, and prevention of discrepancies.
  • Performs complex accounting activities to maintain complete and accurate general ledger accounts, including researching, analyzing, and resolving accounting discrepancies and process-related issues.
  • Prepares journal entries, reconciles ledger accounts, and performs monthly and quarterly fluctuation analysis to support accurate financial reporting and close processes.
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and integrated revenue/expense analyses.
  • Partners cross-functionally with business units, project teams, and operational stakeholders to investigate accounting impacts, escalate issues as appropriate, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Designs, implements, and continuously enhances reconciliation processes and related controls to promote ongoing accuracy, transparency, and timely variance resolution.
  • Interfaces with internal and external auditors, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and company policies.
  • Leads special projects and process improvement initiatives impacting financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Develops desktop procedures and training materials and supports training efforts for domestic and non-domestic teams to ensure operational sustainability.
  • Analyzes non-domestic production against Service Level Agreements (SLA) to identify quality, timeliness, and productivity issues and recommends corrective actions.
  • Applies sound professional judgment, critical thinking, and accounting expertise to solve complex problems and determine appropriate actions.
