About The Position
Cordia Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant to act as the sole accounting professional for a growing construction company. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s accounting function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience ; prior experience as the sole accountant or in a small business environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Nice To Haves
- Construction industry experience is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of union payroll processes is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations and ensure accurate month-end close
- Prepare and maintain financial records in compliance with company policies.
- Support union-certified payroll reporting and compliance.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and reporting.
