About The Position

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in shaping the financial accuracy and integrity of our organization. The Sr. Accountant oversees complex accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strict adherence to generally accepted accounting principles. This role combines deep technical accounting expertise with strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders across the organization. The Sr. Accountant plays a key role in cost accounting, account reconciliation, and general ledger management while supporting process improvements and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related fields
  • 3+ years as a Senior Accountant
  • Experience with journal entries, complex reconciliations, fixed assets, and month-end process
  • Ability to prepare financial statements
  • Must have experience with ERP software
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPS)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing industry experience (WIP, COGS, CAS, PPV) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable accounting standards.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting to support accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure all accounting activities adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Collect and verify supporting documentation for ACH payments to ensure proper authorization and audit readiness.
  • Participate in weekly accounts receivable (AR) meetings and prepare clear, concise reporting to support decision-making.
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial data using advanced Excel skills to support management reporting and operational insights.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide accounting guidance and respond to inquiries in a clear and professional manner.
  • Support and lead ad hoc projects, including process improvements, system enhancements, and special financial analyses as needed.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records, demonstrating strong attention to detail in all accounting tasks.
