About The Position

The Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the finance and accounting team and report to the Vice President of Accounting. This position will be responsible for the operational accounting and analysis for a group of our hospitals, certain corporate shared services accounting functions and other areas of accounting and administration.

Responsibilities

• Completes full-cycle month end close process for assigned hospitals and corporate and shared services departments.
• Maintain the monthly prepaid amortization schedule and assist in the analysis and recording of entries associated with prepaid assets.
• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
• Assist in the analysis and recording of entries associated with lease accounting, as needed.
• Performs financial statement analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and accrual accounting.
• Communicates and works with administrators and other operational personnel for assigned hospitals and corporate departments.
• Other job duties as assigned.
