About The Position

PacAero is seeking an analytical and execution-focused Senior Accountant responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and financial regulations. This role supports the PacAero business unit, including two additional locations, and partners closely with Corporate Finance. Limited travel is required (less than 20%). The position also supports corporate initiatives and performs other duties as assigned by the Block Controller, Senior Management, and Corporate Finance. This position is full-time, onsite in Agawam, MA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
  • Excellent knowledge and competency with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company standards.
  • Oversee general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Manage cost accounting processes, including standard and job costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Assist with management of fixed assets including depreciation and capital reporting
  • Support the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on forecast-to-actual variances.
  • Assist in preparing financial analysis to support operational decision-making.
  • Help implement and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Prepare and track monthly financial KPI’s.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure SOX compliance where applicable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Contracts, Program Management, and Supply Chain.
