Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5--8 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment while remaining adaptable and focused on what truly matters.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative and accountability, as well as collaboratively within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a retail-based company

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison with Store Operations for inventory support--an ideal fit for someone who is personable, collaborative, and able to build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Manage cycle counts and serve as the main contact for quarterly physical inventory, requiring initiative, ownership, and the ability to focus on what matters most.
  • Analyze monthly inventory levels and shrinkage, reconcile perpetual inventory to the balance sheet, and maintain a rolling 12-month analysis--perfect for someone who is curious and eager to dig into the "why."
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, demonstrating accountability and disciplined time management.
  • Complete and resolve balance sheet reconciliations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze P&L statements related to assigned responsibilities, requiring strong analytical thinking and the ability to sense what will help or hinder achieving goals.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Provide support for the Finance Help Desk with a human, approachable communication style.
  • Assist with the annual financial statement audit, taking ownership of tasks through completion.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive automation--ideal for someone with vision and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects where flexibility and a positive attitude toward shifting priorities are essential.
