The Senior Accountant is a key member of the finance team, responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, leading monthly financial statement close, and ensuring strong compliance and internal controls. This role will drive accurate reporting, financial analysis, and support ongoing management decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA/MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years professional accounting experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite a plus) and MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute the month-end financial statement close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and compile monthly financial statement packages for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead monthly account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance in accordance with GAAP.
  • Perform ad hoc compliance and regulatory reporting as needed, including external audits and supporting schedules.
  • Analyze monthly financial statements for discrepancies and variances; provide insights and recommendations to management.
  • Compile and prepare documentation for auditors (internal and external) and facilitate audit processes.
  • Ensure the organization’s financial operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Maintain and reconcile subsidiary accounts, bank statements, and other financial records.
  • Support or lead implementation of new/amended accounting systems, initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis, management reports, and other assignments as required by leadership.
  • Assist with tax filings, payroll processes, and other operational accounting functions as assigned.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners, providing financial reporting and analysis for management decision-making.
