About The Position

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support their Corporate Accounting organization. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who enjoys working cross‑functionally, owning complex reconciliations, and contributing to close, reporting, and audit processes. This position is hybrid, requiring in‑office presence two days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) in Boston, MA. The Corporate Accounting team is responsible for recording and reporting the financial results of the corporate business unit. In this role, you will be involved in both routine and non‑routine accounting activities, with a strong focus on intercompany accounting, debt accounting, and financial reporting. You will partner with stakeholders across the organization to ensure accurate recording and reporting of intercompany transactions, while developing a thorough understanding of the legal and operating entity structure and the relationships between entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
  • 3–5 years of overall accounting experience; public accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP, including moderately complex accounting topics
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present information and ideas
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders at various levels
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Nice To Haves

  • CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
  • Experience with foreign exchange transactions preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Financials preferred
  • Oracle ERP ARCS and Smart View experience are nice to have
  • Ability to travel approximately 5%, as needed

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record journal entries related to third‑party debt, including accrued interest, amortization of debt discounts, and deferred financing costs
  • Perform monthly reconciliations supporting internal schedules and lender statements
  • Assist with corporate allocations and intercompany analysis
  • Prepare proposed intercompany journal entries, manage intercompany invoicing, and support the monthly settlement process
  • Monitor, analyze, and reconcile monthly intercompany balances; investigate and resolve differences
  • Maintain the intercompany note tracker, including reconciliation of income, expense, receivable, payable, and withholding tax activity related to intercompany loans
  • Support internal financial reporting, including consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist with quarterly reviews and the annual audit in collaboration with external auditors
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
