Reporting to the Accounting Manager of the Finance team, the Sr. Accountant will actively contribute to the growth and development of the Finance team, and the establishment, creation, and implementation of new processes, procedures, and internal control initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience and exposure to all aspects of the strategic accounting function, as well as the ability to develop technical and managerial skill sets. Upon successful mastery of job responsibilities, core competencies, and cross-training, this role is intended to provide an exciting career track within the department and continued professional development in Accounting and Finance.

Requirements

  • You have 2+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • You have strong working knowledge of accounting standards, are detail oriented, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must have outstanding communication and presentation skills and comfort interacting with colleagues and stakeholders in a professional and helpful manner
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all levels of employees
  • Must have solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i. e. Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Public Accounting experience strongly preferred
  • CPA certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Execute key components of the monthly close for balance sheet and P&L expense accounts, ensuring timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations and judgmental expense-related accounts, including detailed variance analysis and issue resolution
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A and department leaders to analyze expense trends, support forecasting, and provide actionable financial insights
  • Assist in the year-end audit by preparing supporting schedules, responding to auditor requests, and contributing to technical accounting documentation for balance sheet and expense areas
  • Contribute to the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of internal controls, financial processes, and close workflows
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through proactive communication and timely resolution of accounting issues
  • Support leadership by contributing to ad hoc analyses, process improvements, and special projects, ensuring alignment with accounting policies and internal controls
