The Senior Accountant position applies principles of accounting and other process skills to assist the monthly close and other reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience.
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • High level of integrity and reliability.
  • Strong initiative to meet deadlines consistently in an accounting function responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting to the SEC, shareholders, and executive management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks well, especially during monthly close cycle, and change priorities as needed.
  • Great relationship skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff and financial management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from others in the organization.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently in a changing business environment.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel required, knowledge of SAP and OneStream preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the monthly close process for a company code(s) managed within the North America Accounting group including but not limited to journal postings, intercompany reconciliations, assessments, etc.
  • Prepares and/or reviews intercompany statements for worldwide subsidiaries.
  • Prepares and/or reviews posting journals and adjusting entries to the general ledger.
  • Prepares and/or reviews monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assists with both internal and external audit processes.
  • Partners with peers on the team, as well as cross functionally with those in other areas such as FP&A, HR, Treasury, Tax, Internal Leadership and Business Group personnel.
  • Prepares Ad hoc analyses and reporting as requested.
  • Provides assistance in all areas of financial reporting as requested.
  • Manage lease accounting compliance.
