As a Senior Accountant supporting efforts you will support the following areas: Maintain the general ledger for Online schools in different states Complete required state reporting related to the school financials Work with the Head of School as needed on accounting / reporting issues Assist with accounting setup of new Online schools Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and propose any needed adjustments Identify efficiencies in existing processes and propose solutions Assist with putting additional controls and processes in place Respond to financial related inquiries in a timely manner Provide essential support during month-end close and the annual school audits Engage in special projects Performs other duties as assigned Report to Accounting Supervisor or Accounting Manager About You

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
5+ Years of accounting experience
Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of and proficiency in an ERP system
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships with all levels
Ability to perform highly detailed work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
Demonstrated history of problem solving
Ability to work both independently and within a team for a dynamic, growing company

Responsibilities
