We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our high performing team in Chicago. Working alongside our Senior Finance team, the Senior Accountant position is a varied and challenging role which will be responsible for processing, supporting financial inputs and producing financial results.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Public Accounting Firm
  • Good understanding of reconciliations
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent user of software packages and Microsoft Office software (advance Excel skills)
  • Flexible and able to handle change easily
  • CPA/CA qualified preferred
  • $75,000 - $85,000 a year
  • The position is eligible for commission.
  • The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing the monthly reporting packs and associated reports for assigned business entities, including consolidations
  • Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations, including A/R, A/P, Fixed Assets, and other G/L account
  • Ensure integrity and timeliness of full cycle reporting to management, including month end and year end reporting
  • Maintaining financial reports, records, accruals, and general ledger accounts
  • Process and reconcile inter-company transactions
  • Prepare reports as may be required by senior management
  • Assist with the annual budget
  • Assist the team where deemed necessary
