About The Position

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care, the premier automotive industry brand and franchise organization for more than 60 years, is seeking a highly skilled and detailed-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team working in the Horsham, Pa. corporate office. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex financial data. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective financial management across the organization. This role will report to the VP of Finance and Accounting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience across multiple sectors including public accounting or corporate accounting
  • Proven expertise in financial concepts such as GAAP, IFRS, debits & credits, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial software. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex financial analysis and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
  • Excellent understanding of cash management strategies, budgeting processes, and forecasting techniques.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance standards and technical accounting issues is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
  • Oversee general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, month-end close procedures, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant standards.
  • Assist with cash management, forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
  • Write detailed financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial analysis projects and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies related to financial operations.
