About The Position

This role's primary responsibility is to prepare accounting information to assist in producing financial statements in accordance with GAAP principles. This employee is responsible for applying accounting procedures to analyze financial information and ensure appropriate control procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required
Three to Five years of general accounting experience is required
Must possess an extensive knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, and GAAP concepts
Must possess an extensive knowledge of Microsoft excel
Ability to use critical thinking and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Supports month-end and year-end close process for multiple entities
Supports the Accounting Manager in management of the general ledger, creating and reviewing journal entries and reporting variances
Maintains key balance sheet schedules, including Fixed Asset process
Assists with external audits
Provides input into department's goal setting process
Contributes to efforts to streamline accounting processes for multiple entities
Manages special projects and communicate directly with clients
Ensures compliance with GAAP principles
Cross trains and backup other accounting team members
Supports other projects and performs other duties as assigned
