About The Position

Kforce has a client in Holmdel, NJ that is seeking a Senior Accountant. Responsibilities: Perform journal entries, variance analysis, and support month-end close and financial reporting processes Prepare financial schedules and reconcile balance sheets, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, including documentation and approvals Assist with tax filings and related reporting for sales, use, property, and income taxes Manage lease accounting, capitalization schedules, and fixed asset activities in accordance with applicable standards Support preparation of financial statements, audits, and regulatory submissions Contribute to special projects such as mergers, acquisitions, and system integrations as needed Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Several years of experience in general ledger, financial reporting, and account analysis at a senior level Proficiency with ERP systems and financial software preferred Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables) Ability to manage multiple priorities, think critically, and collaborate effectively High attention to detail, organizational skills, and initiative in driving projects forward Commitment to integrity, ethical standards, and continuous process improvement Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Several years of experience in general ledger, financial reporting, and account analysis at a senior level
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, think critically, and collaborate effectively
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and initiative in driving projects forward
  • Commitment to integrity, ethical standards, and continuous process improvement
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
