About The Position

The Senior Accountant – Services supports accurate financial reporting for a services-based organization, with a strong focus on revenue recognition, Tax schedules to the external CPA office and month-end close. This role ensures compliance with US GAAP, supports audits, and partners with operations and project teams to provide timely and accurate financial information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
  • 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in services or consulting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition
  • Hands-on experience with project accounting and billing cycles
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas)
  • Experience with Sage systems (Workday, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-confident and motivated, works on own initiative and as a part of the team
  • Organizing and prioritizing daily/weekly tasks
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • ‘Can do’ attitude and ability to learn quickly
  • Building and developing working relationships with key partners and with K2 colleagues
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information
  • Demonstrate company acumen
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods
  • Domestic and/or global travel when required

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • Additional language skills would be advantageous
  • Preferred candidates have experience in professional services.
  • Preferred candidates have experience supporting audits

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the bank relations
  • Tax & Reporting. Prepared, reviewed, and coordinated tax-related documents and schedules in response to requests from the external CPA office.
  • Prepare payroll journal entries, reports and reconciliations.
  • Perform statutory reporting, financial analysis, and audit support activities.
  • Statutory reporting & Regional compliance
  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
  • Conduct Balance Sheet Variance analysis
  • Assist in preparing audit schedules and support external audits
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within the accounting function and maintain up to date process documentations.
  • System controls, integrity and compliance
  • Comply with information security regulations, principles and obligations in line with ISO, with emphasis on continued learning as technology changes. Maintain software and data encryption in line with compliance and relevant data protection laws globally, ensure the safety, integrity, and accountability of all the data we handle
