About The Position

The responsibilities of the Senior Accountant are to manage the core accounting function of the Company, including account payable, accounts receivable, and cash/credit card reconciliations. The individual ensures accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses and resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems. Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field preferred.
  • Five or more years of accounting experience.
  • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software.
  • Must have large ERP AP system experience, as well as 1099 filing experience.
  • Must be extremely organized, professional, have strong attention to detail, and follow-through on assigned tasks.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and system skills, including advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills.
  • Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers and business partners.
  • Proven ability to act proactively in support of customer needs.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and multi-task.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all other departments at Ore Designs, Inc.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of banking systems and experience with wire and ACH templates is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable, customer vendor relations, AP entry, PO matching, weekly check preparation and disbursement, W-9 verification, and annual 1099 reporting.
  • Perform mid-month and month-end reconciliations.
  • Create and maintain strong banking relations.
  • Generate and send out invoices via system email.
  • Collect and allocate payments via check, credit card, or ACH.
  • Follow up on payments as needed.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Process adjustments as needed.
  • Review credit and set up terms for laser customers, when applicable.
