We are seeking a tech-forward Senior Accountant to own our full-cycle accounting operations. This is a critical generalist role for an experienced professional who excels at managing daily transactions while driving the modernization of the finance function. The ideal candidate is an expert in modern fintech tools and is passionate about utilizing AI to eliminate manual workflows, optimize banking operations, and maintain an audit-ready environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a full-cycle capacity.
  • Advanced proficiency in Bill.com, Ramp, and Stripe.
  • Direct experience managing corporate banking portals and wire transfer initiation.
  • Proven experience assisting with an accounting system migration or ERP implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI or automation tools to streamline repetitive accounting tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to produce audit-ready work with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily cash positions and perform weekly cash flow reporting to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Initiate and manage domestic and international wire transfers, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and fraud prevention.
  • Perform complex bank and payment processor reconciliations for Stripe and corporate operating accounts.
  • Oversee corporate credit card programs and expense management via Ramp, ensuring perfect reconciliation and policy compliance.
  • Execute month-end close procedures, including journal entry preparation and maintenance of schedules for accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.
  • Prepare high-quality audit workpapers and supporting documentation to ensure a seamless annual audit process.
  • Manage the full AP cycle using Bill.com, ensuring accurate coding and timely vendor payments.
  • Manage the AR lifecycle, including invoicing, cash application, and proactive collections.
  • Manage the preparation and filing of sales tax returns and post payroll journals (with auxiliary support for processing as needed).
  • Play a key technical role in migrating accounting functions to a "new age" accounting system/ERP, ensuring data integrity and optimized digital workflows.
  • Proactively identify manual "bottlenecks" and implement AI-driven solutions (such as OCR and automated workflows) to increase efficiency.
  • Maintain and optimize integrations between Ramp, Bill.com, Stripe, and the general ledger.
