About The Position

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits' products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.    Mini-Circuits' sells our products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive web site.    Position Summary: The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager.  The position is responsible for leading the accounting activities required to maintain the company's general ledger and deliver financial statement reporting in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.  This position also plays a leadership role in the issue resolution and activities to support the department's goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • 5 to 8 years of related experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting concepts.
  • Must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to ITAR compliance.
  • Experience in ERP implementation (eg. SAP, Oracle etc.).
  • Solid financial analysis thinking and experience.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail; efficient; able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Solid time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA / MBA a plus
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and reporting processes and deliver timely US, international and consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Coordinate with international subsidiaries to complete and review timely financial statements.
  • Prepares monthly consolidated financial statements, including intercompany elimination entries.
  • Leverage finance technologies to speed up month-end close and improve data accuracy.
  • Lead internal staff in support of timely and efficient quarterly and annual audit activities.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports and analysis for management and Board of Directors presentation.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and timely investigates and resolves discrepancies.
  • Serve as department subject matter expert in maintenance and documentation of internal financial ERP and group reporting system (SAP).
  • Lead departmental projects and process changes to improve efficiencies in work processes and to reduce work in low value activities.
  • Prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax returns.
  • Provide accounting and reporting technical support to team members to ensure compliance and reporting effectiveness.
  • Ad hoc reporting and assistance with projects as needed.
