About The Position

Senior Accountant In this role, you will be responsible for essential accounting processes supporting our Crop Protection business segment within WinField United, with a primary focus on vendor and customer prepayments, stocking rebates, and various other general accounting areas. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: participating in the month end close process by preparing journal entries, managing prepay modules, preparing monthly reconciliations, analyzing balance sheet accounts and profit and loss statements to ensure proper financial reporting, and providing month end close reports to WinField United FP&A and Corporate. You will partner with the business to provide timely and accurate financial reports and analysis, work with various departments to research and resolve issues, ensure timely resolution to reconciliation items, prepare and provide management with summarized reporting on key areas and accounts, respond to and prepare information for internal and external auditors, maintain internal controls, and perform various other responsibilities and special projects. Key Areas of Responsibility: · Accounting for vendor and customer prepay activity including accurate recognition, analyzing monthly system calculations, and ensuring alignment with appropriate contract timing · Tracking and management of stocking rebates including loading programs into system to determine monthly impact and recording allocation share to contractual customers · Acting as a liaison between Accounting and FP&A to communicate monthly estimates and results and work through any reconciling items · Ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and Sarbanes Oxley requirements Experience-Education: · Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related with 3-6 years of accounting experience. CPA preferred. · Advanced computer software experience and knowledge including proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically strong Excel skills required · Advanced experience with JDE ERP systems, CoPilot or other AI tools, Hyperion Smartview-Essbase, and Power BI highly desired Competencies-Skills: · Prior experience driving process improvement and documenting processes · Strong technical accounting and GAAP knowledge required · Ability to learn new concepts quickly · Ability to work under deadlines and shift emphasis when required · Excellent interpersonal communication skills when working with all levels of management and cross-functional teams · Strong attention to detail and accuracy of analysis and procedures · Excellent trouble shooting, problem resolution, analysis skills, and understand primary financial drivers in the business $81,200-$121,800. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related with 3-6 years of accounting experience.
