About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team in New York City. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in corporate accounting, particularly in revenue processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing existing processes and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions. This role is suited for someone who can take ownership of their work and is capable of implementing improvements where necessary. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in the month-end close process, which includes recording and reviewing financial transactions, performing monthly reconciliations, and ensuring all accounts are accurately rolled forward. Familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting standards is essential, as the candidate will be responsible for lease accounting as well. Additionally, the role involves recording monthly expenses and revenues, analyzing variances in expense and revenue reports, and preparing management reports such as the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows. The candidate will also be expected to demonstrate strong Excel proficiency for reporting and analysis, and to actively seek out areas for process improvement.
