The Senior Accountant will perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization. This role involves maintaining the general ledger for daily accounting transactions and reconciliations, coding invoices, reconciling accounts, and closing the monthly books. The Senior Accountant will also reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and address discrepancies in payments for accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions. Additionally, the position requires reconciling cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts, as well as managing accounts receivable collections to comply with the company credit policies. Ensuring all accounting deadlines are met within the accounting team for on-time delivery of monthly close is crucial. The Senior Accountant will verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts. This role also involves processing daily cash receipts and ensuring proper posting to client accounts, providing internal auditors with assistance, and maintaining knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
