We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team and help support our growing organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-entity environment.
• Deep understanding of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with finance leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and contribute as a collaborative team member.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including complex reconciliations, vendor management, and aging analysis.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of advanced journal entries, accruals, and account variance analysis.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Generate and present periodic financial reports and insights to management and key stakeholders, identifying trends and providing actionable recommendations.
• Conduct in-depth account analysis, identifying and explaining variances from budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
• Support payroll processing by reviewing and ensuring accuracy in financial postings and payroll-related entries.
• Enhance and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and safeguard company assets.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and GAAP.
• Act as a liaison for internal and external audits by preparing schedules, gathering supporting documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows.
• Assist with the implementation and optimization of accounting systems, providing recommendations for technology and process enhancements.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
