SUMMARY: A Senior Accountant has overall responsibility for one or more specific areas within the Accounting function. May have direct reports. May compile financial information and be responsible for the preparation of various reports, prepare or review journal entries, reconcile or review reconciliations of accounts, analyze financial data, perform accounting research within assigned area of responsibility. Under the supervision of the assistant controller or controller may be responsible for developing and implementing accounting and control policies and procedures related to assigned area of responsibility.
