Senior Accountant III
About The Position
This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position based in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office . We are Xendoo , a FinTech company that provides cloud-based bookkeeping, accounting, and tax solutions designed specifically for small business owners across multiple industries. Our mission is to give entrepreneurs financial clarity and peace of mind through efficient, technology-driven services. Our team delivers monthly financial reports as early as the fifth business day and supports clients with a dedicated team of accountants and an intuitive dashboard that offers real-time financial insights. Our platform integrates with tools such as QuickBooks Online and Xero to streamline the accounting process. As our company continues to grow, we are looking to add additional Senior Accountants to the team. At Xendoo, accountants play a key role in supporting small business owners by delivering accurate financial reporting, offering proactive financial guidance, and providing an exceptional customer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of experience managing full accounting cycles using both cash-basis and accrual accounting, including bookkeeping, A/P, A/R, journal entries, monthly and year-end close, and financial statement analysis
- Advanced understanding of accounting principles from cash-basis through accrual accounting, including strong knowledge of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting theory in practical situations
- Strong understanding of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Trial Balance, etc.) and the ability to interpret complex financial information and explain it clearly to clients and team members
- Deep familiarity with accounting software workflows and the ability to identify and resolve system issues
- Comfortable working in a technology-driven environment and leveraging tools to improve efficiency
- Understanding of small business operations and a genuine interest in supporting entrepreneurs as they grow
- Strategic thinker – able to evaluate information and determine the best path forward
- Analytical and critical thinking skills – capable of working through complex scenarios and identifying practical solutions
