Job Summary The Senior Accountant III – Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting supports the preparation and review of SEC filings, internal financial packages, and assisting in technical accounting research.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in Accounting or related field
• Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems
• Strong financial analysis, problem solving & communication skills
• Process improvement oriented
• Fundamental understanding of the accounting close process

Nice To Haves

• Experience preferred in the Energy industry, but not required

Responsibilities

• Executes complex tasks with a strong understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and controls.
• Analyzes data, identifies trends, and provides insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Reviews and reconciles information to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve processes and implement best practices.
• Assists in preparing and reviewing reports, ensuring clarity, completeness, and adherence to guidelines.
• Supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
• Provides mentorship and guidance to junior team members, contributing to knowledge sharing and skill development.
• Supports the preparation and review of SEC disclosures, including researching new or evolving reporting requirements.
• Analyzes the financial reporting impact of complex transactions
• Participates in process improvement and transformation efforts.
• Develops and delivers ad hoc financial reports.
• Collaborates with Legal, Tax, external auditors, and others as necessary to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance in reporting deliverables.
