What you’ll be doing: The Sr Accountant I is responsible for implementing activities that support specific parts of the accounting unit, team, or projects. This role involves a blend of proficiency in accounting functions, problem-solving abilities, and interaction with both team members and external peers. Prepare journal entries, analyze accounts, and oversee accounting processes in line with generally accepted accounting principles. Lead the month-end close process for the lease accounting area Prepare month-end reconciliations for all lease liability and right-of-use asset accounts Review month-end reconciliations prepared by off-shore accounting team Act as subject matter expert in the lease accounting area Support the annual budget and monthly forecasts for all lease-related accounts Provide reporting and documentation to business partners and senior management Participating in SOX compliance Make recommendations for and execute process improvements Perform and oversee special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed Work quarterly with the external auditors, preparing and reviewing schedules for their testing Partner with real estate lease administration, legal and multiple other business groups to ensure adequate lease accounting information is received on a timely basis Complete other general accounting close tasks, as required What you bring to the table: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Requirements

  • 2-5 years accounting experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field)
  • Experience in a Public Accounting setting

Responsibilities
