The team is responsible for maintaining the company’s accounting records and preparing internal and external financial statements that support timely financial and operational decision‑making across SRP. The role will focus on internal management reporting, conduct monthly financial analysis, participate in period‑end close activities, and support the oversight and maintenance of the general ledger.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete work accurately within deadlines
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and time-management skills
  • Experience using accounting software (e.g., SAP, etc.) for transaction research, analysis and data extraction
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the period-end close processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required.
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience
  • Large ERP experience (SAP preferred)
  • A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in relevant business field including accounting, finance, or related is preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) helpful

Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Complete month-end journal entries to ensure proper accounting in compliance with established financial controls and policies
  • Perform budget-to-actual financial analysis, investigate variances and provide commentary
  • Prepare special-purpose financial statements and other presentations for board committees, executive management and governmental agencies
  • Provide accounting and SAP direction, information and analysis as requested
  • Review contracts, leases and other agreements for proper accounting treatment
  • Assist in determining the basis and allocation of distributable costs
  • Utilize SAP and available reporting to execute tasks, collect data and conduct analyses
  • Coordinate and work closely with other areas of the organization including SAP technical support.
  • Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations
  • Troubleshoot accounting and SAP issues related to assigned areas
  • Provide support to internal and external auditors as required
  • Complete other miscellaneous projects and ad hoc assignments
