Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences and delays.
  • Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of intermediate level experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Real Estate accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial oversight of 10–15 construction-in-progress properties by preparing and reviewing monthly construction draw packages, ensuring accurate sources and uses while maintaining compliance with loan documents and partnership agreements.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Lead accounting cycles by managing month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations that keep our financial reporting accurate and timely.
  • Oversee invoice processing and timely vendor payments, maintaining strong vendor relationships and adherence to internal controls and company policies.
  • Monitor general ledger activity, identify and research discrepancies, and resolve issues to keep financial reporting accurate.
  • Drive efficient financial operations by overseeing invoice processing and vendor payments while maintaining strong relationships with partners and ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Manage cash flow and financial activity by reconciling bank accounts and monitoring property-level cash management for assigned developments.
  • Support key financial objectives by assisting with audits and tax preparation, including compiling schedules and documentation for external auditors.
  • Play a key role in major transactions by preparing equity and construction loan closing draws and recording property acquisitions.
  • Partner across teams by collaborating with construction accounting, corporate accounting, and management accounting to support smooth financial operations and successful project execution.
