About The Position

The Senior Accountant Department Manager at Your Best Management Group is responsible for overseeing the accounting department, managing staff, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role requires a strong accounting background, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to analyze financial data effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing accounting functions and staff, producing error-free reports, and presenting financial information clearly.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of work experience as an accounting department manager.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
• Hands-on experience with MAS accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
• Knowledge of multi-entity business structures.
• Experience with multi-state operations.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient on 10-Key calculator by touch.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in depth equal to at least a full charge bookkeeper.
• Ability to link multiple spreadsheets and apply consistent formatting.
• Reliable attention to time frames and deadlines.
• Ability to interact well with others.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting staff and oversee various accounting jobs.
• Review the work of accounting staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status using charts and graphs.
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present results to stakeholders.
