About The Position

X Energy, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to perform key financial reporting functions and support the month-end close process. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing account reconciliations, and assisting with financial statement preparation. The Senior Accountant will work closely with operations and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial information while adhering to established policies and procedures. This role contributes to the integrity of the Company's financial data and supports management decision-making through financial analysis.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
3 – 5 years of progressive accounting experience
Solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

CPA or actively pursuing CPA preferred
Public accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries with proper supporting documentation
Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Support the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and disclosures
Review and analyze account activity, investigating unusual transactions or trends
Process and record accruals, prepaid expenses, and other recurring entries
Assist with audit requests and provide documentation to internal and external auditors
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function
Participate in accounting system upgrades and implementations
Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as requested
Perform other duties as assigned by manager
