About The Position

As a member of the Comcast Global Accounting Organization, this role will be responsible for accounting and analysis related to various Business Services Accounting P&L accounts. Responsibilities include preparation of schedules to support accruals, quarterly financial statement analysis, journal entries, and various account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting and financial analysis for Business Services Accounting P&L accounts.
  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, identify variances, determine root causes, and recommend adjustments.
  • Record monthly journal entries with complete and appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Review financial statements for operating trends and variances against forecast, budget, and prior month.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for management review.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.
  • Research complex accounting issues and assist with implementation of new accounting policies.
  • Develop automated processes and workflows; experience with Power BI, Data Analyze 360, or other automation tools is encouraged.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize accounting processes.
  • Work independently and collaborate effectively with cross functional‑ teams on projects.
  • Adapt quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced‑ environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving‑ skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Advanced proficiency in Oracle Essbase/SmartView.
  • Knowledge of cable industry a plus.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion on significant matters.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance; ability to work nights, weekends, or overtime as required.
