About The Position
Cordia Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting a growing consulting firm . This role will play a key part in month-end close, financial reporting, and operational accounting, with heavy use of Sage Intacct . The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, hands-on system experience, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced professional services environment. Recent, hands-on Sage Intacct experience is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong, recent experience with Sage Intacct (required)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial controls
- Hands-on experience with month-end close and reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Concur and Salesforce a plus
Responsibilities
- Support and execute the month-end and year-end close process
- Perform and review account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting requirements
- Review accounts payable transactions for accuracy and proper coding
- Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Prepare variance analysis and provide insights to leadership
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support audits and respond to auditor requests
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and leadership teams
- Utilize and optimize financial systems including Sage Intacct , Concur , and Salesforce
