About The Position

The Regional Business Director (RBD) – Northeast Region is responsible for driving new business sales of VirtaMed simulators and services across hospitals, universities, and healthcare institutions. This role focuses on new account acquisition , relationship development with key decision-makers, and revenue growth across multiple clinical specialties. Success in this role is measured by annual revenue attainment , pipeline development , and customer satisfaction .

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in account management or sales in Medical Device sales, or Regional Sales Manager.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills across multiple stakeholder levels.
  • Self-motivated, strategic, and entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building new relationships.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 40–50%) for customer visits, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering or related medical field.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive sales for VirtaMed simulators and services within the Northeast Region to new and current customers.
  • Sell across multiple specialties including Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Urology , and future specialties as introduced
  • Achieve annual revenue goals defined by the company
  • Generate new sales opportunities through: Field Sales activities, Cold calling, and outbound prospecting Attending local and national conferences and trade shows Building networks within hospitals, universities, and teaching institutions Other creative prospecting activities that drive pipeline growth
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through close
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations
  • Clearly articulate VirtaMed’s technology, clinical value proposition(s), and ROI to prospective customers
  • Drive customer engagement (utilization) and collaborate with internal teams by: Collaborate with Customer Success Team to drive customer engagement Making strategic introductions to stakeholders to team members that facilitates Company strategic interests. Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the VirtaMed product portfolio
  • Stay current on: Market trends Customer needs Competitive landscape and positioning
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HubSpot CRM , including: Sales funnel and pipeline updates Account notes and internal documentation Submit timely expense reports and complete required administrative tasks
  • Partner closely with: VirtaMed Inc. team members VirtaMed AG (global) teams Contribute to company-wide goals and strategic initiatives
