Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Account Manager, Safety & Security, to join a high-performing team focused on driving significant growth over the next five years. The ideal candidate is a strategic and creative sales professional with a proven ability to successfully position and sell advanced safety and security solutions to state and municipal agencies. This role requires a collaborative leader who brings credibility, professionalism, and strong relationship-building skills to the organization. The successful candidate will have extensive direct sales experience with new and emerging analytical technologies such as chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CRBN), across vertical markets including public safety agencies, laboratories, and commercial organizations. An established network of industry contacts within these sectors is highly desirable. Candidates who are adaptable, results-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with flexibility to contribute to both strategic growth initiatives and day-to-day execution are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of sales management experience with
  • At least 7 years of direct sales experience in the public safety, municipal and/or federal government, US Military and/or International Military markets
  • Expert understanding of federal and state grant programs, funding cycles and contract negotiations
  • Demonstrated results in consistently growing business and exceeding quota
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety and security technology with a focus on detection and identification technologies
  • Outstanding communication skills and significant experience developing and delivering presentations
  • Proficiency with business technology, software and applications to include Salesforce and Microsoft Office products
  • Experience developing business plans and sales strategies
  • Experience developing sales pipeline and accurate forecasting
  • BA/BS degree required in business, marketing or related technical field and/or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all sales activities including prospecting, pre-sales promotion, demonstrations, proposal coordination, contract/sales order preparation, negotiations and closing.
  • Responsible for coordinating the involvement of appropriate company personnel (e.g., sales management, technical support, services sales and management, partners and consultants) for orientation, consultation, training and sales support.
  • Responsible for recruiting, developing and training industry-related partners and resellers.
  • Responsible for representing the company at industry conferences and trade show events independently.
