The Senior Account Manager is the service experience leader of the client team, supporting/implementing the risk management/insurance program strategies. For larger more complex risks, the Senior Account Manager supports the Account Executive in program administration, marketing and placement, and carrier management. For middle market risks, the Senior Account Manager serves as the primary relationship leader, responsible for translating risk and loss profiles into solutions for program design and pre and post loss risk strategies. He or she also provides direction and works with the Account Analyst to deliver on client needs. A trusted advisor who is responsive and receptive, the Senior Account Manager provides innovative solutions and industry best deliverables through application of technical knowledge. The Senior Account Manager always adheres to Lockton cultural values, and treats fellow associates, clients, and vendors with dignity and respect.

  • Serve as the key contact for client's service related issues for larger complex accounts.
  • Act as the technical advisor for coverages and risk related questions.
  • Review client contracts and provide guidance about insurance requirements and risk considerations.
  • Serve as the strategic advisor for middle market accounts, responsible for overall client satisfaction, relations, and retention.
  • Set the strategy for service, program design, and implementation.
  • Conduct open items meetings for ongoing service items.
  • Support the AE with the strategic planning process for larger complex risks.
  • Drive strategy planning process with middle market clients, evaluating changes and making recommendations.
  • Communicate with clients and markets as directed by AE for large complex clients.
  • Lead complex negotiations with carrier markets.
  • Monitor account billing and invoicing.
  • Support the AE with executing the defined marketing strategy.
  • Project manage renewal implementation and new client onboarding.
  • Establish key reporting metrics for each client.
  • Manage client financial reporting and claims analysis.
  • Proven experience in account management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and insurance programs.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in the insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with financial analytics.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer loyalty.
