About The Position

The Senior Account Manager at Presidio is responsible for driving business development and new account acquisition within a designated territory. This role focuses on achieving sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Senior Account Manager will execute sales strategies, anticipate customer needs, and develop solutions to meet those needs, leveraging a variety of marketing and sales techniques.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in outside information technology sales in application, cloud, infrastructure, network security, professional and managed services.
  • Prior experience selling advanced technology solutions from vendors like AWS, Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, Dell, Microsoft.
  • Ability to reach expected sales quota within the first 90 and 180 days of employment.
  • Excellent sales skills including proficiency in English, assertiveness, empathy, flexibility, and strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Execute sales strategy by identifying customer needs and selling appropriate hardware and company services.
  • Develop business through multiple marketing and sales techniques including cold calling and in-person meetings.
  • Maintain a targeted understanding of customers' business to establish needs and create strong relationships.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales revenue and margin goals as defined by management.
  • Drive profitability and grow revenue for target accounts in partnership with the inside sales team.
  • Adhere to sales processes including pipeline development and accurate forecasting.
  • Perform extensive proposal writing and prepare sales information for customers.
  • Conduct deep analysis of account base to determine key areas of opportunities.
  • Develop and execute marketing and business plans to drive revenue and profits.
  • Work with sales leadership to provide feedback and develop vendor relationships.
  • Attend monthly/quarterly account planning sessions with strategic manufacturing partners.
  • Present a Monthly Business Review to Sales/Ops Manager focusing on performance and pipeline analysis.
  • Collaborate with inside Account Manager to uncover new sales opportunities.
  • Develop partnerships with Vendor Field Sales Representatives.
