About The Position

Fundwell is a financial technology platform revolutionizing the way businesses access capital. Traditional business financing often involves complex processes, hidden fees, and lengthy approval times. We're changing that and fast. Leveraging our proprietary technology, deep industry expertise, and ethical-first approach, we deliver quick, transparent, and tailored funding solutions to small and medium-sized businesses nationwide. Today, our platform is expanding beyond financing into receivables, payables, and embedded payments, giving businesses greater control over their cash flow. We’re seeking a proven Senior Account Executive to spearhead sales for our new B2B payments product. As our first sales hire, you’ll play a critical role in building pipeline, closing deals, and shaping the go-to-market strategy. You’ll work directly with leadership to craft sales materials, refine messaging, and drive customer adoption as we scale.

Requirements

  • Track record of selling to SMBs with a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated success exceeding quotas ($500K+ annual new ARR or equivalent payment volume).
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to build compelling sales collateral.
  • Startup/scale-up experience; comfort operating in unstructured environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced education a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create tailored pitch decks, one-pagers, ROI calculators, and case studies (with marketing/design support) to enable repeatable, scalable sales motions.
  • Lead discovery, needs analysis, solution demos, contract negotiations, and deal closure, consistently exceeding monthly/quarterly quotas.
  • Become a trusted advisor on AP/AR workflows, cash flow management, and payment optimization, confidently discussing financial concepts with CFOs, controllers, and business owners.
  • Partner with operations and product teams to ensure smooth handoffs, onboarding, and early-stage adoption, driving initial success that leads to expansion.
  • Translate customer feedback into actionable insights, influencing product roadmap and marketing positioning.
  • Establish repeatable sales processes, CRM hygiene, activity metrics, and best practices for future AEs.
  • Work hand-in-hand with product, operations, and leadership to refine pricing, packaging, and messaging.

  • Generous paid time off
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within a rapidly growing fintech leader.
