About the position

Wiser Solutions is a suite of in-store and eCommerce intelligence and execution tools. We're on a mission to enable brands, retailers, and retail channel partners to gather intelligence and automate actions to optimize pricing, marketing, and operations initiatives, both in-store and online. Our Commerce Execution Suite is available globally. This is a remote role with a preference for PST, MST or CST time zone. The ideal candidate will be a senior level Account Executive with the capability to ramp up as a team lead and a player/coach within our retail team based in the U.S. We are seeking an experienced and driven sales professional with a proven track record of selling to Retail and Brand customers. Experience in SaaS and/or start-ups is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business plan to exceed yearly revenue goals.
  • Utilize the current adopted sales methodology to coach Account Executives in sales, closure strategies, pipeline management, opportunity management, and career planning/development.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and development of the sales team.
  • Report on all aspects of the business to senior management.
  • Effectively navigate strategic customer and prospect conversations to uncover core business challenges.
  • Connect solutions to prospective customers' pain points.
  • Perform product demos via Microsoft Teams or similar technology.
  • Communicate the value proposition to position against the status quo and competitors.
  • Develop proposals focused on addressing prospective client organizations' challenges and needs at scale.
  • Identify key decision-makers to define timelines and compelling events to drive deals to close.
  • Cultivate and quarterback new business opportunities through the sales pipeline within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of software sales experience, selling data to brands or retailers, or working in the consulting industry with brands/retailers.
  • Deep understanding of retail, eCommerce, and analytics.
  • Experience implementing and utilizing a consultative sales methodology (e.g., MEDDIC, Force Management, Mastering the Complex Sale, Challenger).
  • Proven negotiation and sales skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving year-over-year goals.
  • Executive-level communication and sales skills.
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles with C-level decision-makers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Team management experience is preferred but not required.
