In accordance with California Education Code § 89297.1(a)(1), the California State University established the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Student Achievement Program (CSU ASAP) to enhance educational experiences and promote success for AANHPI students. Cal Poly Pomona received five years of state funding through this program to support initiatives that advance the achievement and well-being of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander students. The grant allocates funding to implement high-impact practices, culturally responsive programming, and data-informed strategies that promote equity, inclusion, and student success. Supported by this initiative, the Office of Student Success (OSS) collaborates with campus and community partners, including Student Affairs, the Asian & Pacific Islander Student Center (APISC), Ethnic and Women’s Studies, and Outreach, Recruitment & Educational Partnerships (OREP), to enhance institutional support for AANHPI students and strengthen pathways for their success.
