About The Position

The Senior AV Engineer is responsible for the design, integration, implementation, and maintenance of audio, video, and control systems throughout the organization. This role provides advanced technical leadership and hands-on expertise to support audiovisual services across the offices, conference rooms, and private residences. The Senior AV Engineer supports client needs through system design, installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance, working closely with internal teams, vendors, and third parties to ensure reliable and high-quality AV operations. This position plays a key role in AV installations, project execution, research and evaluation of new technologies, documentation, training, and end-user support for digital audio and video systems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in the IT and AV industry across commercial and residential environments
  • Extensive expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting AV systems for enterprise and high-end residential applications
  • Strong background in project execution, including vendor coordination, scheduling, and cross-disciplinary collaboration
  • Hands-on experience installing, implementing, and maintaining AV, telecommunications, and networking infrastructure
  • Proven experience with data center power and cooling, structured cabling systems, and enterprise-grade network environments
  • Expert-level proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex AV systems Crestron NVX/ NAX Zoom/ Teams Rooms
  • Solid working knowledge of IT infrastructure requirements, cabling standards, and best practices
  • Advanced experience with DSP-based audio processing, matrix systems, and sound solutions, including: Biamp QSC AVB / Dante
  • In-depth knowledge of Kaleidescape movie servers and players
  • Expertise in home theater and cinema design, integration, and optimization
  • 5+ years of experience programming and supporting control and lighting systems, including Crestron, AMX, RTI, and Lutron
  • Experience with ISF calibration techniques for professional-grade video performance
  • Education - Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience Required – 8+ Years

Responsibilities

  • Design, install, implement, and maintain audiovisual systems across multiple locations
  • Engineer and support new AV experiences for upcoming projects in both commercial and residential environments
  • Collaborate with operations and support teams to improve processes, efficiencies, and overall user experience
  • Select, configure, and deploy audiovisual equipment for multiple locations
  • Serve as a technical lead for AV projects, coordinating with vendors and third parties during all phases of implementation
  • Proactively maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot existing AV systems
  • Utilize and maintain a ticketing system and service level standards to identify trends and anticipate problem areas
  • Establish and follow AV standards to maximize up time and simplify the technology stack
  • Ensure all system documentation is accurate, current, and properly maintained
  • Assist with project planning, cost estimates, and operating budget considerations
  • Support timely resolution of network outages related to physical AV or network infrastructure
  • Communicate effectively with ownership, management, and staff at all levels
  • Install and maintain the physical cable plant, including coax, low-voltage power distribution, audio, voice, terminations, splices, repairs, new cable runs, and cable removal
  • Travel frequently to other sites as required
  • Provide after-hours, weekend, or holiday support as business needs dictate
  • Perform other duties as assigned
