About The Position

General Vision The Sending Intern supports the Sending & Missions Department by helping Veritas grow as a church committed to everyday mission—locally, globally, and cross-culturally. This role focuses on building relationships, assisting with international student ministry, and helping create environments that mobilize people toward global engagement. Interns gain hands-on ministry experience while growing as disciples and participating in staff culture at Veritas Church. Essential Job Functions The Sending / Missions Internship focuses on mobilization, cross-cultural discipleship, relational ministry, and departmental support.

Requirements

• Interns of Veritas Church are expected to: Be a pace setter in life and work, leading out in what we are asking those within the church to do.
• Agree with the mission, values, and beliefs of Veritas Church .
• Possess and demonstrate the biblical qualifications of a leader in the church.
• Must be or become an attender at Veritas Church during the internship.
• Must live in the Cedar Rapids area during your internship.

Responsibilities

• Helping plan and support ministry events and weekly environments.
• Building relationships with international unbelievers, lay leaders, and ministry participants.
• Mobilizing Veritas members and Salt students to engage with the lost and the unreached peoples on campus, in the community, and globally.
• Supporting basic administrative tasks, communication, and planning.
• Assisting the staff team with practical ministry needs throughout the week.
• Participating in staff meetings, discipleship, and ministry training.
