Candidate will support the performance of product qualification tests and process reliability experiments on semiconductor circuits and test structures. Candidate will report to an Electronic Design Consulting Engineer. This position offers interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to real world industrial products and practice. During the 12 weeks each Intern will: >Be given an individual and well-defined project with set outcome goals >Gain hands on experience >Receive excellent training and ongoing supervision >Be invited to attend an intern webinar series >Attend networking/social events >Attend and present at Poster Session about each Interns project successes and pitfalls >Receive formal, written feedback

  • Identify and prepare samples for reliability tests
  • Develop test fixtures and/or circuit boards for environmental tests as required; may include mechanical assembly and soldering
  • Make DC and RF electrical measurements
  • Execute qualification and/or reliability tests
  • Perform statistical analysis of measurement results
  • Support failure analysis as required
  • Report results, including recommendations for reliability improvement
  • Completion of at least two years of a traditional four-year degree program, majoring in EE, Physics, Materials Science, or other technical discipline
  • Basic understanding of electrical measurements
  • Basic understanding of electronic principals, including understanding of semiconductor devices
  • Basic computer programming skills
  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
  • Familiarity with data analysis software tools, such as Excel, MathCad, Minitab, or JMP desired
