The Process Integration Engineer for integrated Dewar-Cooler Assembly (IDCA) manufacturing will collaborate with senior engineers and the IDCA production team to transform product designs into repeatable, high-quality manufacturing processes. This involves drafting and updating process flow diagrams, work instructions, and SOPs for IDCA component fabrication, assisting in the setup, qualification, and calibration of assembly fixtures and test equipment, conducting integration trials and functional testing of IDCA subsystems, collecting and analyzing test data for root-cause identification, and working with design, quality, supply-chain, and safety groups to resolve integration challenges. The role also supports continuous-improvement initiatives and the program team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • This position will require a government security clearance
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in: Wire bonding, Laser Welding, Precision Adhesive Bonding, Vacuum Processing, Painting, Machining, 3D Printing, Mechanical Design (CREO) Experience, Automated System Programming (G-Code, LabVIEW, MatLAB, Other)
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to produce clear documentation
  • Experience working in clean room environment with ESD protection protocols

Responsibilities

  • Translate product designs into repeatable, high‑quality manufacturing processes
  • Draft and update process flow diagrams, work instructions, and SOPs specific to IDCA component fabrication
  • Assist in the set‑up, qualification, and calibration of assembly fixtures and test equipment
  • Conduct integration trials and functional testing of IDCA subsystems
