About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Semiconductor Process Engineer to support the III-V and Si semiconductor wafer and packaging process areas. This role involves sustaining and enhancing semiconductor manufacturing processes, including photolithography, etching, and thin film deposition. The engineer will collaborate with development and process integration teams to implement new techniques and manage equipment procurement projects, ensuring continuous improvement through data-driven analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing areas such as photolithography, metrology, and thin film deposition.
  • 5 years of professional experience or 3 years with a related Master's degree.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of industry experience or advanced degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience with automated semiconductor processing equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent engineering documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively from technician level to senior management.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and data analysis software such as MATLAB or JMP.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain and support III-V and Si semiconductor wafer and packaging processes.
  • Define processing and handling equipment requirements and specifications.
  • Review processing techniques and methods for semiconductor device fabrication.
  • Collaborate with development and process integration engineers to adapt new processes into manufacturing.
  • Lead and execute semiconductor processing equipment capital procurement projects.
  • Manage projects related to process definition, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of semiconductor devices.
  • Conduct data-driven analysis to assess continuous improvement activities.
