Evaluate new hardware platforms and process chemistries and perform fundamental research, chemistry development, and the generation of intellectual property relevant to the company. Develop revolutionary wet process technologies, enabling future DRAM technology nodes. Establish technology roadmaps and work with Micron engineers and suppliers to develop processes that meet device requirements for the future. Improve existing processes and enhance process capability, productivity, and efficiency. Start up, develop and optimize processes to improve product quality and reliability, work on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolve manufacturing line problems. Identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC/FDC methodology. Coordinate and carry out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement change process step, lead and participate in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handle new process baseline qualifications and manage, audit and liaise with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives. Position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or related fields and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a semiconductor process engineering-related occupation.

Requirements

  • Electrical engineering concepts theory
  • Chip design and Technology Computer-Aided Design (TCAD)
  • Advanced mathematics and analytical skills
  • Silicon fab processing and Critical front end fab processing
  • Semiconductor fabrication and processing
  • Wet Etch processing and characterization
  • Numerical Analysis, optimization, and/or simulation
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or related fields
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a semiconductor process engineering-related occupation
