About The Position

Semiconductor Maintenance Technician – Rebuild Support Machinist The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for performing parts cleaning and rebuilding and Preventative Maintenance support for the CHD FAB Metals and Etch maintenance teams. This position is responsible for effectively executing tasks that are required to maintain the toolsets for several Fab functional areas (Photo, Etch, Metals, Metrology, AMHS), including but not limited to: Etch AMAT 5200 MXP, MXP+ PM support (parts cleaning and rebuilding primary focus) Support of other fab areas may be required The tasks include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of fab functional areas. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of 5s and demonstrate problem solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and train others. The desired candidate will be required to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills, stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds. The position requires working compressed shifts, job openings on either days or nights may be available. Education and Skills: AA, AS, AAS, or education progress in electronics, chemistry, mechanical, or industrial engineering related discipline is preferred. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements. The position requires problem solving skills and proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control systems and requires the ability to read and understand technical diagrams and drawings and the use of diagnostic test equipment (e.g. digital multimeters, anemometers, oscilloscopes, etc.). The candidate should have knowledge of the use of hand tools, soldering, digital multimeters, vacuum system components, and be self-directed.
