About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Semiconductor Hardware Engineer – Fab Operations & Quality position for our client. Location: Albany, NY Duration: 8 months Duties: Designs, develops, tests, and delivers semiconductor hardware offerings using the latest technologies Utilizes design documentation such as Functional Specifications and high-level design documents to develop hardware and technology products Ensures hardware components are unit tested and ready for system integration Provides engineering fixes to defects identified during verification and validation cycles Works across mechanical, electrical, and firmware disciplines to deliver integrated hardware solutions Tests functional, reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS) aspects of implementations and supports end-to-end system-level issue resolution in customer environments Supports semiconductor fab operations and manufacturing quality activities, including: Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) Quality audits Nonconforming material (NCM) disposition Inventory management and control Failure analysis (FA) coordination and review Product and manufacturing process qualification Provides OEM quality assurance and manufacturing quality support, including stop-ship and action-driven containment processes (AAP) for off-spec materials or processes Establishes and maintains effective relationships across internal engineering teams and external suppliers/vendors Ensures delivery of high-quality semiconductor systems aligned with production, reliability, and market requirements

  • Cross-functional engineering coordination
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting complex semiconductor hardware systems
  • Experience in fab operations, semiconductor manufacturing environments, or high-tech production engineering roles
  • Hands-on experience with quality systems including CAPA, NCM, FA, and production issue resolution
  • Experience supporting system-level integration, debugging, and verification activities
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, firmware)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or related technical discipline required
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

  • Experience collaborating with manufacturing operations, suppliers, and OEM quality teams preferred
  • Advanced degree preferred
