About The Position

Responsible for deployment of intelligent sensors, fault detection software, and new application development for US Field Applications Engineering group. The ideal candidate will be located in the Manassas, VA area but will work remotely and travel to customer sites. The successful candidate will work with INFICON's sales team to develop new opportunities and support projects at assigned accounts. Deploy and Support sensor integration and FabGuard Software Platform on broad array of semiconductor process equipment. Create recipes and data analysis of tool based sensors (data), INFICON sensors and the customer’s sensors for the purposes of Fault Detection and Classification (FDC) using FabGuard Provide technical assistance within areas of specialty for customers. Provide written and oral feedback to the customer on applications work including process troubleshooting, recipe development, and installation procedures. Identify unexplored process areas where INFICON sensors and software can add value to the customer. Provide written and oral feedback to onsite account Manager on weekly activities, customer requests, needs and requirements. Provide onsite training on INFICON products including FabGuard FDC software, INFICON hardware usage and basic troubleshooting. Provide installation support of INFICON equipment as needed, which includes sensors, FabGuard software and He Leak Detectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in (Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related sciences) with 2-5+ years’ work experience preferably in Semiconductors
  • Solid understanding of Semiconductor Processes and OEM tools including Lithography, PVD and CVD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both external and internal customer relationships.
  • Ability to adapt to various field situations and to foster strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Requires strong Analytical Skills and Critical Thinking to Solve Complex Problems
  • Ability to travel (approximately 20-25%), both domestically and internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Broad understanding of ALD, Etch and CMP is desirable.
